Gameweek 1

The predictable
The first game of the season was on Saturday 10th at 12pm. Mogami FC (15th last season) drew Axackal Melbourne (11th last season) in a goal-less game.

Port Eulalia (17th) was at home for their first game of the season against New Haversham FC (3rd). The score was a predictable 0-4. NHFC winger Hope-Hughes collected a hatrick (13', 25', 33') with the final goal a header from a corner by centre-half Peters (79'.)

Halifax Western (10th) faced Landing United (7th) and lost 1-2. Halifax scored first with a 25-yard goal by centre-midfielder (Azul, 40'), but LUFC came back in the second half (Richards, 55' and Paman 60').

On Saturday 530pm, New Kingston Athletic Pahang (8th last season) beat Kota Kuala 05 (16th last season) 2-0. New Kingston striker Pirith scored once from the spot at 39' and finished with a tap in at 85'.

On Sunday afternoon Lahore FC (4th) played Hollandia FC (recently promoted). Lahore continued the exciting form from last year, with pacy winger Yemat scoring twice (34', 60') and central midfielder Jackson converting from a free kick (65'). Hollandia bravely attempted a high press but were punished for disorganisation at the back when Lahore scored again in the 90th minute (Parrot). 4-0.

Beaufort FC faced the newly promoted Majhagarh Tractors at home and beat them soundly 2-0 (Wilson 3', Walker 30'.)

Agra FC (13th) faced title winners Jalandhar United. Agra scored first, (Dogra, 20'), but Jalandhar were able to penetrate Agra's attempt at a low-block and scored five times. (Hussein, 22', 25', 66', Lucas 40', 49'). An easy three points to JUFC.

The unpredictable

Kuching Sports Club (12th) faced Yorktown FC (5th) early Sunday afternoon. The sale of Yorktown's goalkeeper without a first eleven replacement left Yorktown in despair as Kuching put four goals past them (Prathipom, 33' (P), 40', Monad 57', Pallet 80'). YFC got a consolation goal (Suparman 88') but the three points went to Kuching.

Baleysore FC (14th) played Kohat FC (newly promoted) on Saturday evening. The recently promoted Kohat played a low-block and scored twice on the counter (Powers, 49', Sulliman 70'). They gave a penalty away, which Baleyscore converted (Mulman, 52'), but Baleysore were unable to penetrate Kohat's parked bus, the latter team earning a desperately-needed three points.

Pahang Kuala Pahang (6th) were not expected to beat Jesselton City (9th) after losing their key striker and target man Barrett in the transfer window. Nonetheless, PKP youth prospect Yusuf scored twice, and early, (11', 14') after finding himself unmarked in the penalty box. JCFC reformed after the interval, but were beaten by PKP's off-side traps and surrendered another goal at the 86' from a 30-yard free kick by PKP right-wing back Afahak. Three points to PKP.
